St. Louis, MO. 10.27.17 – In September Carboline hosted a Corrosion Seminar for the Rail Market at their Research, Development and Innovation facility in Brentwood, Missouri. The free, two-day seminar covers topics specific to the Rail Market such as commonly used coating and lining systems, surface preparation, application, problem resolution and repairs, just to name a few. Carboline’s Corrosion Seminar for the Rail Market is the only rail-specific school offered in the industry.
Carboline’s technical experts presented to over 30 attendees and offered a hands-on experience with several coatings. Attendees not only received education specific to their industry, but were able to apply products firsthand, and tour the facility.
“I made some serious strides in my understanding and continuing personal development in coatings and linings,” says Trevor Head, Field Service Manager, Customer Support & Warranty with TrinityRail. “I found the topics and material covered very interesting, and it really helped explain many observations that I’ve already seen in the industry (both positive and negative).”
Carboline understands the importance of educating their customers and is delighted to host several Corrosion Seminars throughout the year. The next Corrosion Seminar for the Rail Market is scheduled for April 10-11, 2018.
"Being a valuable resource to our customers is a focus we have in providing a high level of service. We are pleased to have our customers spend a couple days with us to increase their industry knowledge and meet some of our technical service and RD&I staff who are the backbone of Carboline,” says Matt McDonald, Director of Rail with Carboline Company.
